It's been awhile since the last post...things have been crazy since I finished college (in a good way though). I have just noticed that Proud Creative, one of my favourite studios, have updated with a couple of new projects. Also, I have finally got my own personal up and running. You can check it out here.

The Life of Jamie Livingston

An absolutely amazing visual story...here Jamie Livingston documents his life from 1979 to 1997 (when he dies from cancer) by taking one polaroid photo each day...little is known about him, but you begin to put pieces of his life together through the progression of these images...

great story about it here

Graduation Time!

It's been ages since the last post, all college work is now finished and wrapped up but the last few weeks have been mental to say the very least.

So now is time that hundreds of graphic design students around the world get their online portfolios up and running (mine will be up tomorrow, fingers crossed), I havn't see many yet to be honest but I did stumble across these two rather talented guys. Ben Hamilton and Keith Hancox who have just graduated from Bath University have some really smart work.

Chi City!!!!!!

Kanye West - Homecoming (ft Chris Martin)

Hate him or love him, you have to give it to Kanye...he always produces the goods when it comes to his videos. These shots of Chicago's magnificent architecture are extra poignant because i used to live there as a young lad....the video is directed by perhaps the best hip hop director of all time Hype Williams.

Umeda Clinic Signage System

This washable signage system is pretty amazing...made in 1998 by the Nippon Design Centre for a Japanese maternity clinic...the signage can be washed to ensure maximun hygiene & give the impression of ultimate hospitality.

Nicklaus Troxler

Some really nice illustrative work from Swiss designer
Nicklaus Troxler. Troxler has been working since the 70s
& has gone on to influence more contemporary illustrators
such as Parra & So Me.

Cody Hudson: Struggle Inc.

Cody Hudson is definitely one of my favourite artists around at the moment and is a huge inspiration. From Chicago, he produces everything from street art...to art installations....to album artwork & club flyers....he does it all. Here's a great interview with him done by the website fecal face.

Bibliothéque

Some stunning work from London based creatives Bibliothéque. These guys designed the book "How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul", an essential read for anyone who's thinking of pursuing a career in design.

Going Dutch: Laurenz Brunner

Well kind of, Laurenz Brunner is Swiss born but based
in Amsterdam, Brunner is also a recent graduate of
The Rietveld Acadamie. He is also the brainchild behind
the beautiful typeface Akkurat.

Hyperkit

Some great original work from London
based designer's Hyperkit.
